Millions of people across the UK will begin celebrating the Queen's Diamond Jubilee early as many take Friday off ahead of the extended Bank Holiday weekend.

In addition, Heathrow Airport is braced for the arrival of nearly 800,000 overseas travellers in the next five days.
The last tickets for street parties are being sold and picnic hampers readied as the communities gear up for the central weekend of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
The four days of pomp, pageantry and festivities will pay tribute to the Queen's 60 years on the throne - a milestone no monarch is likely to reach for generations to come.
:: June 2nd - The Epsom Derby
The Queen begins the weekend on Saturday by attending the Epsom Derby and in doing so indulge one of her passions.

Singer Katherine Jenkins will sing the National Anthem as Her Majesty, accompanied by the Duke of Edinburgh arrive at the Epsom Downs.
A crowd of 125,000 is expected.
Unlike last year the Queen does not have a runner in the Derby. The closest the Queen has come to a Derby win was the year of her Coronation - 1953 - with her horse Aureole.
:: June 3rd - Thames River Pageant & Street Parties
On Sunday the Queen will board the Spirit of Chartwell royal barge and lead a flotilla of 1,000 vessels in a Thames river pageant.
The Queen and Duke of Edinburgh will be joined on board by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince Harry, Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall.
The seven-and-a-half mile route will begin in Battersea and finish at Tower Bridge.
One million people are expected to line the banks of the Thames and many of its bridges.
People are being warned that many roads will be closed from as early as 7am.
Many not travelling to the capital will be staging street parties or jubilee parties as part of the Big Jubilee Lunch.
Just as for the Queen's Coronation and her Golden Jubilee, thousands of streets are being closed and halls hired in order to stage parties
:: June 4th - Diamond Jubilee Concert and Beacons
By Monday, Her Majesty will be getting her dancing shoes ready for the Diamond Jubilee Concert.

The Queen will light the National Beacon at around 10.30pm.
:: June 5th - Service of Thanksgiving and Carriage Procession
Festivities reach a colourful climax on Tuesday as the Queen and her family attend a Service of Thanksgiving at St Paul's Cathedral.
The day's focal point will be a royal carriage procession through the heart of London.
